Neil A. D. Olsen has been a small business operator all his working life and currently he is a TV documentary crop circle researcher residing in Gibsons, B.C., Canada. He graduated Grade 12 in 1958 from Estevan Collegiate Institute in Estevan, Saskatchewan. Oddly enough, his hometown area in southeast Saskatchewan has become Canada’s crop circle center, much like Wiltshire County in the southwest U.K. is the crop circle center for Europe.

Neil has a university degree in forest wildlife biology (Bachelor of Science in Forestry, University of British Columbia, Faculty of Forestry, Wildlife Management Option, 1968) and did two years of post-grad work on a Dahl sheep population on Sheep Mountain, Yukon Territory, 1970-72. He took up crop circle research as a hobby in 1993 and he gradually became a full time investigator. He has been published several times in the U.K.’s leading crop circle journals, The Circular and The Cereologist, twice on the Swirled News website and he has posted many articles about the major 2005-7 U.K. crop cirle formations on the Crop Circle Connector’s “Forum” webpage. He desktop published Crop Circles Deciphered originally in April 1997 and since then he has been adding all the yearly updates for world-wide major crop circle glyphs as appendices to this book.
