Crop Circles: Fact or Fiction?

My position on the crop circle mystery is explained in detail in my book Crop Circles Deciphered (CCD), but in general I believe that most of them are creations of a benevolent spiritual Intelligence not of this world for the following reasons (all Bible Quotes NIV or New International Version, bolder emphasis added):

1). Although some crop circles have been made by man, decades (and even centuries) of cereal crop circle events as well as most of the 10,000 + formations in the last 10 to 12 years occurring in at least 34 countries scattered all across the globe is beyond human connivance.

2). England has a very rich spiritual/religious history. Ninety percent of all crop circles worldwide have appeared within a forty mile radius of the ancient Stonehenge sacred rock monument in England’s Wiltshire county. Wiltshire is also home to other huge sacred Neolithic monuments such as Silbury Hill and the stone circle and stone rows at Avebury, so there is a spiritual component to crop circle locations. Likewise, most of the Canadian crop circles have been located on lands of those of strong spiritual persuasions such as regular church attendees and native people’s ancient sacred sites. Many investigators have reported benevolent synchronous spiritual experiences and even physical healings upon entering fresh crop circle formations. This can hardly be expected from a Force with evil intentions. These are the main reasons why I believe that the true Circlemaker(s) have a strong benevolent spiritual component.

3). Scientific studies have proven that genuine formations are created with unknown technologies using unknown energies causing weird anomalies in the soil, plants and subsequent seed germination rates. These anomalies can’t be explained away by any conventional science.

4). The biggest, the most prolific and the most complex crop circle pictograms have been Stars of David formations (pages 99, 104 CCD), an appropriate modern symbol for Christ, and, best of all, the ram’s horn/shofar/trumpet formations (page 111 CCD) announcing Christ’s return, both of which are important symbols in the book of Revelation. Several Old Testament prophets predicted the Day of the Lord would be announced with a ram’s horn trumpet (Isaiah 27:13; Joel 2:1, 15; Zeph. 1:16; Zec. 9:14). Likewise, so does Paul in the New Testament (1 Cor. 15:52; Heb. 12:19). Christ told his disciples that His Second Advent would be announced by “He will send His angels with a loud trumpet call” (Matt. 24:31). The most important symbolism in the book of Revelation is the trumpets announcing the middle seven of twenty-one Judgments by Christ (Rev. 8:6-13; 9:1-31; 10:7).

Christ, through His mother Mary, was a direct descendent of David (Luke 3:31). Other witnesses to Christ in the New Testament frequently refer to Christ as the son of David (Matt. 9:27; 12:23; 15:22; 20:30, 31; 21:9,15; Mark 10:47, 48; Luke 1:32; 2:4; 3:31; 18:38, 39; John 7:42; Rom. 1:3; 2 Tim. 2:8). Jesus Christ even called Himself the “son of David” (Matt. 22:43-45; Mark 12:35-37; Luke 20:41-44). In the book of Revelation Christ tells us that “He hath the key (of eternal life) of David” (Rev. 3:7) and Christ signs off the book of Revelation with “I am the Root and Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star” (Rev. 22:16). The 2002 UK crop circle season was signed off with a 260 ft. DNA/Star of David glyph symbolizing eternal life through Jesus Christ (page 131 CCD). This interconnection between both Canada’s and the UK’s major crop circle pictograms with Jesus Christ, His Second Advent, trumpets and the Star of David must be more than accident.

5). Other unexplainable physical anomalies such as UFO’s, spinning compasses, equipment failure from drained batteries and balls of light have been seen and photographed many times in and/or near fresh formations. This has been increasing in intensity in the last few years and is backed up with photographic proof. I point out to the reader that light is an electromagnetic frequency and that God “…lives in unapproachable light” (1 Tim. 6:16) and that “God is light” (1 John 1:5).

6). Government disinformation programs and subsequent ridicule of the crop circle mystery by the mainstream press is part of the spiritual warfare described by Paul in Ephesians 6:12 because the authorities have no power over the phenomenon. The core issue is total power and who really has it. The authorities are correctly afraid that we will loose respect for their worldly power if they ‘fess up to the knowledge and the reality of a power greater than themselves. Man truly is at spiritual, not technological, war within himself.

7). We always have to be on our guard against the “ …deceiver and an antichrist” (2 John 7) who comes shortly before Christ declaring himself to be God (2 Thess. 2:4) and  “…the work of Satan [is] displayed [at Christ’s Second Advent] in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders”         (2 Thess. 2:9). Paul, describing Christ’s Second Advent, wrote “…for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14). The word Satan literally means “the accuser” and thus the spirit of Satan is certainly responsible for hoaxing/circle faking, government disinformation and crop circle ridicule by the mainstream press. However, since Satan denies Christ he is very unlikely to use Biblical symbols such as the Star of David and ram’s horn trumpets that point to the Second Advent of Jesus Christ. But even if the devil is behind the entire crop circle phenomenon, then he is shooting himself in the foot by using symbols from the Bible’s book of Revelation because it means that the Second Advent of Jesus Christ can’t be far behind. Either way I believe crop circles are at least part of the fulfillment of the “,,,signs on the earth below” prophesy of Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:19. The overall crop circle message is one of joy and celebration because it is the good-news spiritual message of the formations that matters more than who or what made them.
